Great Falls Montana
Massage/Manual Therapy Policies
The following policies are available to serve as a guide, and to outline all regulations, for our massage and manual therapy services.
Scope of Practice
Massage therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Licensed Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Services are not intended as an alternative to proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific medical condition which requires medical treatment. If you have recently had any disease, surgery, or injury, documentation from your medical doctor may be needed, and shown, to the therapist in order for services to be provided.
Cancellation
If you must cancel your appointment, a notice of at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment is required. If you fail to give a 24 hour notice before your scheduled appointment time, and do not show up to your appointment, a 100% service charge will be applied. If you cannot make your appointment, you may transfer your appointment to a friend or family member to avoid fees. If your card is on file, or you have a gift card balance, the card will be subject to the penalty fees.
Respect for Boundaries
We are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer in an area or move on by request. The client may choose to leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, or stop the massage at any time. The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. Sexual interaction of ANY form, is never appropriate. Suggestive comments, sexual innuendoes, or touching of the massage therapist in an inappropriate way, will not be tolerated, and will result in termination of the session. The full service fee will be charged.
Confidentiality
Given the confidential nature of the professional relationship with clients, and the respect to each client’s right to privacy, all clients visits and records will be kept confidential. As such, your visit will only be discussed with your written permission.
Fitness/Pilates/Nutrition Policies
The following policies are available to serve as a guide, and to outline all regulations, for our fitness, nutrition, and Pilates services.
Scope of Practice
Programs may include exercises to build the cardiorespiratory system, build the musculoskeletal system, improve body composition, improve functional movement, relieve pain, and improve overall health markers / wellness. They may also include nutrition coaching that is intended to offer education, empowerment, accountability, and an increase in self-efficacy. Services are not intended as an alternative to proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific medical condition which requires medical treatment. If you have recently had any disease, surgery, or injury, documentation from your medical doctor may be needed, and shown, to the therapist/trainer/coach in order for services to be provided.
Attire
Due to the physical nature of the programming, we ask that you wear flexible clothing that allows for full range of motion. Gym attire is recommended. Please wear suitable clothing before attending, as we do not have locker rooms. If you need space for changing we may have rooms available if they are not in use for other sessions, but this is not guaranteed.
